Soap Star Hails from Maine

Portland-born Victoria Rowell of The Young and the Restless was on hand Saturday at Fort Knox State Park to celebrate Foster Family Day. She has first-hand knowledge of how the system works in Maine.
Rowell was just an infant when she was placed into Maine's foster care system. As a child, she lived on a farm in West Lebanon before moving to Boston, where she thrived as a ballet dancer.

In 1990, she landed the role of Drucilla Barber on "The Young and the Restless." During her 15 years on the show, she has been honored with a Soap Opera Digest Award and nominated for an Emmy. [Link]
Even if you don't watch the soaps, you might remember Rowell from her role on The Cosby Show as Olivia's birth mother.
