Mexico Couple Puts Soldier Son on Display

Joe and Marjorie Richard of Mexico have found a unique way to honor their son serving with the Maine Army National Guard in Iraq. They've placed a life-size replica of him at the end of their driveway.
The 6'4" mannequin, dubbed "Sergeant Richard," is meant as a show of support for their son, Sergeant Jarod Richard, and his unit, which lost two men to a roadside bomb early this month.

Dangling from one of the mannequin's hands is an Army green duffel bag being used to accept donations requested by Richard's unit. The specific items they asked for include DVD movies, foil-free chewing gum and cat flea collars. [Link]
The flea collars are to ward off the sand fleas that afflict the unit nightly.
