Turner Terrorized by Potbellied Escapee

Another Maine pig has had its bid for freedom cut short by hog wranglers.

Just a month after an unnamed sow jumped from a trailer in Ellsworth, only to be captured and sent "wee, wee, wee" all the way to the slaughterhouse, a pig in Turner has made news for escaping captivity.
Wendell Strout was called to retrieve the pig from a front yard at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Strout was already familiar with the pig, which had established a reputation for misbehaving.

When Strout approached the pig Thursday, he was joined by two men as the pig took off with unexpected speed and led them on a long chase across a pasture before they caught up with it.
The potbellied prisoner was secured in the back of Strout's truck, but wasn't quite ready to give up his freedom.
As he headed toward Greene, Strout heard a rumble from the back of the truck and saw a hulking shadow in the rearview mirror. The pig had wriggled out of the binds that held him and was righting himself in the truck bed.

Strout pulled to the side of the road and quickly got the boisterous animal under control again. He then headed to the barn where he could leave the pig for the night. [Link]
