Downtown Brunswick May Soon Be a Hotspot

Brunswick may be the first Maine community to get free Wi-Fi access in its downtown district.
On Monday, Bowdoin College presented the Town Council with a proposal to sponsor a pilot project that would allow anyone with a laptop free online access from most locations along Maine Street. That would include park benches and sidewalks as well as businesses.

Chairman Forrest Lowe said the council will take up Bowdoin's offer at its next meeting in January.

The town would pay for the service if it's continued beyond the test period. [Link]
