Deaf High-Schoolers Prepare for College

The special challenges faced by deaf students were the focus of a college fair held at the University of Southern Maine on Thursday. The state's first-ever college fair for deaf and hearing-impaired students was held at the Glickman Family Library in Portland.
The event was designed to bring together students from around the state who typically have no one like themselves in their mainstream schools. At the fair, they were able to explore college options with other students who have the same concerns. [Link]
