Save This Old House

The Hubbard-Cotton Store in Hiram is featured in This Old House Magazine's November issue. The last page of each issue is devoted to a single notable structure at risk of destruction.

The Hubbard-Cotton Store was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990, and has fallen into disrepair. The town will have no choice but to demolish it if a buyer does not step forward soon. The property is priced at $30,000, but may cost $75,000 to $100,000 to make habitable. For details, contact Paul Howe at Cote & Howe Realty.
