Meeting Bernice

There's an interesting exhibit showing at 3fish Gallery in Portland.

USM professor Joel Seah was charged last summer with cleaning out a storage room in his apartment building. What he found were the remnants of one lonely woman's life, now collected in an interactive exhibit called "Meeting Bernice." The furniture, linens, and ephemera offer a compelling portrait of Bernice Kennedy's life.
As visitors view the exhibit, they are asked to consider how they would like to be remembered. Slips of paper are available to write down their thoughts and attach them to a favorite item. [Link]
"Meeting Bernice" is on exhibit through Nov. 19 at 3fish Gallery, 377 Cumberland Ave., Portland.
