Live Edge Furniture
Odd Lyngholm of Haagaard's Den in West Bethel makes "live edge" furniture, preserving the bark side of the wood.
Odd puts a lot of emphasis on preserving the character of each piece of pine.
“I take a piece of wood and look at it, and see what it might be,” he said.
He even leaves traces of blue fungus and wormholes to help tell the story of the tree.
For some of the furniture legs, Odd uses the trunks of small trees that were damaged in the ice storm of 1998. [Link]
