Maine Nature News Has New Editor

Robin Follette of Talmadge has taken over the reins of Maine Nature News. This week's field reports are full of butterflies.
This year's monarch butterfly population seems to be doing quite well. I've never seen so many adults flying around (unfortunately so many that they're getting hit by cars), nor have I ever found so many caterpillars on milkweed.

NEAT!!! I'm sure all the readers appreciate a smooth handing-over of the reins.

I've seen a ton of Monarchs, too. They're so regal and graceful!!!

My niece and I found a nice specimen last night munching on some milkweed. He/she's now residing in a glass jar on our mantel, awaiting metamorphosis.
