Central Maine Brookie Ponds

Ken Allen writes in today's Morning Sentinel of Central Maine's brook-trout habitats.
When a typical angler thinks of brook-trout ponds in this state, thoughts often turn to the north country where semi-remote, cerulean jewels dot the rolling hills of pointed fir and spruce, but central and mid-coast Maine have top-quality ponds, often with little development. Most of these destinations have stocked fish, a dirty phrase to some folks, but these waters often produce larger brook trout than most northern Maine ponds. [Link]
