Poetic Justice?

Wilson Ring writes today of his ancestor, Joseph Ring, who was executed by Indians in Eliot twelve years after testifying against a suspected witch in Salem.
Three hundred years later, many people are surprised when I tell them the story of my ancestor who was burned at the stake after testifying in the Salem witch trials.

Some see his end as a fitting comeuppance. I don't think so. I've come to believe that Ring was a victim of the times he lived in. [Link]
