April Fools' Day Comes Early in Augusta

Someone's been sending out phony messages on the letterhead of State Rep. A. David Trahan (R-Waldoboro). He stood up in the House last week and asked the perpetrator to cut it out.
Apparently, one of the messages indicated that Trahan was interested in "wooing" Rep. Hannah Pingree, D-North Haven. Fortunately for Trahan, who is married, the note never made it to Pingree's desk.

"It's pretty comical if you think about it, but it's embarrassing to me," he said. "I showed it to Hannah and she started laughing."
