Another Wyeth in the Gallery

Victoria Browning Wyeth—a Bates College graduate, and the granddaughter of Andrew and niece of Jamie—is guiding tours at the Brandywine River Museum in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. Though she claims not to be artistic, it's the perfect job for someone who's been immersed in the Wyeth world her whole life.
"How do you get a pig to sit still?" Victoria Wyeth asks, pointing to Jamie Wyeth's popular Portrait of Pig. The answer: "blaring Mozart."

Her uncle's work enables Victoria Wyeth to reveal more family traditions - warts and all.

"Wyeths absolutely love Halloween," she says, citing bulk purchases of props such as spiders and bats.

By the time Victoria Wyeth finishes detailing the family's annual ghoulish gatherings, her uncle's self-portrait with a jack-'o-lantern on his head seems perfectly natural. [Link]
