It's Always a Good Time to Eat Crow

Deirdre Fleming writes today of crow hunting in Maine. Anyone with a hunting license can hunt the birds throughout February and March in southern Maine, from Feb. 15 to April 15 in northern Maine, and throughout August and September statewide. There's no bag limit, but according to veteran crow hunter John Klosenski, it may be harder to bag a crow than you think.
"It's been said they have the intelligence to recognize an individual person. If a farmer is carrying a shovel, or a gun, they know the difference . . .," said Klosenski, who has been left pecked, perplexed and puzzled by the bird's bold nature. [Link]
Klosenski adds that crows "taste like black duck."
