Your Sunday Non Sequitur

The newest addition to the Maine Sunday Telegram's comics page is drawn by a resident of Kittery Point.

Wiley Miller's "Non Sequitur" is the only nationally syndicated strip featuring a Maine-based setting — Offshore Flo, inspired by the Maine Diner in Wells and located in the fictional town of Whatchamacallit, Maine.
"My original inspiration (for Offshore Flo) was the Maine Diner," Miller said in a phone interview. "My wife and I used to go there for breakfast when we visited New England . . . It caught on very quickly with readers, including a lot of displaced New Englanders. The phonetic writing of the Maine accent made them feel at home." [Link]
Miller and his wife came to Kittery from California last year, and will soon be moving to a house they've built in Kennebunkport. See some samples of his work at The Non Sequitur Homepage.
