Holiday Film Has Maine Connection

The Littlest Light On The Christmas Tree — an animated film written and scored by Peter Lewis, a summer resident of Ocean Point (Boothbay) — is available on DVD, and is scheduled to premiere locally on ABC WMTW-8, Christmas Eve at noon. It will also be available through syndication to markets nationwide this month.
At the center of this touching post-World War II tale is 8-year-old Timothy, who befriends a seemingly broken Christmas bulb, Little Light, which glows in a time of need out of Timothy's will to believe. "The Littlest Light On The Christmas Tree" is a timely and moving tale with six original songs composed by Lewis, set against an awe-inspiring backdrop of animated scenes of the snowy town and the luminescence of delightfully decorated homes.

"I've always been a songwriter," Lewis said. "The idea for this story came to me when I was writing some rock songs, and the lyricist came up with a line about `the littlest light on the Christmas tree.' I really liked that image and thought to myself, `There's a story here.'" [Link]
