Skiers Advised to Be Patient

Sunday River had scheduled their Opening Day for Friday, Nov. 11, with plans for "top to bottom skiing and riding on Barker Mountain, with quick expansion to South Ridge, Spruce and North Peak."

Recent mild daytime temperatures seem to have caused that language to be removed from their website, though their Snow Report still sounds optimistic:
We've made snow and we're itching to do it again but on a much larger scale.

Opening Day is on the horizon. We're watching the weather like a hawk waiting for some sustained cold to offer a top-to-bottom opening on Barker Mountain. [Link]
Sugarloaf has yet to start snowmaking operations, but has had enough natural snowfall to stand by their scheduled opening date of Nov. 18.
