Help Wanted: Poet Laureate, Experience Preferred

How's your iambic tetrameter? With the expiration of Hallowell poet Baron Wormser's term, Maine is looking for its next Poet Laureate. And you can even nominate yourself.

The Maine Arts Commission and Maine State Library are charged with finding a nominee for Governer Baldacci's approval.
Nominees must be residents of the state and have published distinguished poetry. Nominations, which may come from the poet or another party, must include a nomination letter, resume and four copies of a published book. The criterion for selection is artistic excellence. The Poet Laureate will be appointed by the governor for a five-year term. [Link]
